Motor Cycles
In this video, I am thinking about my role as a vlogger and as a community member. Is the act of watching/taping the act of participating? What am I participating in? I am thinking about mediation of experience or mediation as experience, control and motorcycles.

I'm named after my mother's best friend who died young in a motercycle accident.
I'm always afraid to know people who ride bikes.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours. That was important to share. I'm going to think about it a lot as I prepare to sort of re-enter the conversations, if you will :)
hi mary beth,
they scare me too. my cousin was in a semi-vegetative state for ten years following a slide on a rainy highway. he finally died of pneumonia.
i say semi-vegetative because the only time he reacted to anything was when his mother came to see him. he cried.
hey B.
i'm glad you like it. i've been thinking that i should get down to the business of making video of the non-talking head variety.
from the motorcyclist's point of view... well, I ride a 150 Vespa scooter
yes, be aware of the dangers, treat them seriously, but also enjoy the moment, the wind, the freedom, the sun (when it is there)
I commute daily (about 12 ks each way), but I also do enjoy the odd long ride where the only aim is to ride.
If all car drivers were motorcyclists as well, it would be a lot safer for motorcyclists.
I enjoyed the vid, thanks, Bill
great vlog... even though it was a troubling subject, you captured your thoughts and visions wonderfully! i enjoyed it... and still don't like motorcycles... yet respect the people that do.
kev!
hey bill! thanks! i don't think of this as a pro or anti motorcycle video.
hey kevin. thanks!
What does it mean to "take footage?" What are we taking? What are we giving? I'm thinking about these things. Is smoking after witnessing a motorcycle accident something insane or something that makes perfect sense? Are we fragile or are we strong? These questions haunt me.
Thanks for this very thoughtful post.
Hi Anne. Been checking out the vloggercon attendees page as well as Vidlicious and found this post. Wow.. that gave a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach to watch. Nevertheless.. you described your experience so well. I felt like I was there. Thanks for sharing this part of life.
I'll see you @ vloggercon!
